Default Two Captions on One Image

I would like to create two separate captions for one image and couldn't figure out how so I tried a workaround. I copied the first caption including the field (Figure 20), and pasted the copy beneath, changing the text for the second caption. Now I had two Figure 20s. I updated all the references (Ctrl+A and then F9) which renumbered the Captions correctly and then also separately updated the List of Figures.

It looks great, except that in the LOF Figure 20 and Figure 21 take up one row. Is there a way to force Figure 21 onto a new row, other than doing it manually?

Thanks in advance!!

If the two figure captions are in the same paragraph, they will also display in the same paragraph in the list of figures. To fix this, you will have to separate the two paragraphs. You can make use of a style separator, if you wish. That will make it possible to have the two figure captions display in the same paragraph in the body of the document.

The screen shot belows illustrates how you can do it. Note that inserting the style separator with Ctrl+Alt+Enter will put it at the end of the paragraph. You can move the caption manually.

Thank you!!!! That works perfectly. I pasted the Style Separator just before the second caption. Now they are on separate lines in the LOF.

Perfect!
