Autocorrect words not working when using 's
I had to create a new Normal template recently and one thing I have not been able to "fix" is that when I use an AutoCorrect shortcut and then put an apostrophe S at the end of it, the AutoCorrect shortcut does not trigger. For example, I just attempted to type "manufacturer's" by typing "manur's" but the "manur" AutoCorrect did not trigger.
What setting am I looking for to change this? |

While your suggestion does serve as a workaround, I am certain I did not have to do this before my Normal template was reset. If I did, I would've already had autocorrects for words like "people's" and manur's.

I had this same problem and was able to solve it.
I went into my autocorrect and it appears I had accidentally created an entry for the apostrophe. When I typed mrm followed by 's, it should have triggered "Mr Manning's" but nothing happened. The accidental autocorrect entered under the apostrophe symbol doesn't trigger, either. It just prevents the thing before it triggering, it seems. Deleting the accidental apostrophe autocorrect fixed it. Sorry to revive an old thread, but hope this helps someone googling for the problem! |
