Edit bibliography of paper I was sent.
Hey there,
I was wondering whether I could change the style of a bibliography of a paper that I was sent in .docx format. In my word program (Office 2016 for Mac) when going to "Referenzen" (German for references), I can select different styles of citation but that doesn't change the current. Does Microsoft-Word not detect that the file I was sent contains a bibliography? Thanks for any hints or tips. Best regards, mapa |

If the citations & bibliography have been created using Word's referencing tools, and the citation & bibliography fields used for those references haven't been converted to static text, changing the referencing format (e.g. from Chicago to APA) should result in an immediate update of the appearance of those references. That said, Microsoft's implementation of the various referencing formats is poor - it's Chicago implementation isn't even close to that format's specifications.
