Default Tracked Changes Won't Go Away

What is the solution if I accept all changes, yet it still shows my tracked changes? I used the overall dropdown ribbon to accept all changes, as well as trying to select the portion and accept but it just won't accept. Any ideas? Thank you!

If your document contains comments, those must be removed in a separate step by clicking Review > Delete > Delete All Comments in Document.

If removing the comments doesn't help, your document may contain text formatted to look like tracked changes, although they really are not tracked changes. If you want to, you can share an example document by uploading it as an attachment. Click the Go Advanced button to see the commands for attachments.

I don't suppose you're switching user accounts in between accepting and checking the changes?

What happens if you step thru some changes individually, by using the 'next change' ribbon button?

Some third-party programs use font attributes (e.g., strikethrough, double-underscore) to simulate the appearance of tracked changes. Click on one of the changes, then press Shift+F1 (Reveal Formatting). Is there a style applied with the name "DeltaView Insertion" or "DeltaView Deletion" or something similar? Another possibility: Someone could have used direct formatting to make the text look like tracked changes. If you can select the "markup" and press Ctrl+Spacebar to remove the formatting, then you know a character style or direct formatting has been applied. Cleanup? That's a different story. Sometimes reviewers apply strikethrough and double-underscore to portions of the same text.
