Unwanted space in the text
Hello, while I was writing the text, part of the text from one side jumped to the other side, and there was an unwanted, big gap in the text. I have no auto-paragraphs and breakpoints set. The gap cannot be erased and I cannot even move it from one side to the other. When I copied the text in parts into a new document, the gap was still there. I attach a link to the screenshots. Thank you for your help. https://imgur.com/KUvJzwM https://imgur.com/HFOH3ZR https://imgur.com/CpDhdse |

Is it possible for you to attach the document?

Attach a document.
How to attach a screenshot or file in this forum. In the meantime, see Alignment / Justification of Text in Microsoft Word. Last edited by Charles Kenyon; 05-23-2019 at 07:16 PM. |

Thanks for the effort, I opened the document in another PC and the problem disappeared by itself

The screen shots are difficult to interpret, even though you have enabled the display of nonprinting marks.
At a guess, text flow options (Paragraph dialog box) are responsible for what you see. Some of these options, such as "Keep with next," may cause unexpected page breaks. If a lot of successive paragraphs are set to "Keep with next," paragraphs will be chasing each other and a page break may occur where you least expect it to be. In addition, there is a setting for "Page break before" which will cause an affected paragraph to be moved to the top of the next page. Of course, that doesn't explain why simply opening the document on another PC fixed the issue.

As already pointed out, we need to see the actual document to solve this but my prediction on what is going on here is...
All the paragraphs have both Widow/Orphan Control and Keep with Next turned on. That is why you are seeing breaks in the middle of paragraphs that are at least 4 lines long. If another machine doesn't demonstrate the problem then I would say the document has the Template styles automatically updating on open and the template attached to the document has a different paragraph settings for that particular style on that machine.
