Default Creating a form

I have created a 13 page fillable form. Part of the form you put student name, student number, class, presenter, and academy. Once you put this information in on the first page I have set it to fill out the other 5 locations on the form where that information needs to be filled in. As you put in the first field the form locks for sometime to finish filling in the other areas before it moves to the next field. When you finish the next field it locks up for several seconds while it fills in those other areas. This continues for each field. Is there a way for make this process faster? Just to fill out the five locations takes a couple of minutes. The information is not a lot of characters. Further, in this form I have over 200 check able boxes, date fields, and note sections that are also being field out.

I also need to see if I can make this work on a tablet using Microsoft Word.

Thank you for any help you can give me.
