Control boxes, protection and pop-up dialogs
So....having a bit of a quandary getting this to work.
I've got a Word doc that I've created and used a macro to pop up an input box to put in a number. This works flawlessly. However, I've used this as a bookmark cross-reference to populate two other fields that need to contain that exact number as well. This works flawlessly as well...EXCEPT... I've got the rest of this document locked down and have text control boxes for areas of this form that require free text. This is contained within a table. I've added a text control form to the table in the two areas where I need to replicate this number. I've added the cross-reference to the bookmark within the text control form. Once the form is password protected, the number does not replicate in the text control box. I've tried adding the cross-reference without the text control field and that doesn't work either. I'm using protection via option 2, editing restrictions with "Filling in Forms". How can I get the input box information to replicate in the locked down fields within the table? Thank you! Screenshot attached for clarity. |

Use either a Group control or No Changes protection (with exceptions).
