Autocorrect - Embedding a 'Tab' to move to next column& continue insert
I am using customised Autocorrect shortcuts to insert blocks of text into a table. I would like to insert text across columns in a row by embedding a TAB in the replacement text. I have tried using the Tab key and ALT 9 but the text is always replaced in the single cell. Is there any way I can achieve this without separating and creating multiple shortcuts for each cell in the row? |

Not with AutoCorrect. Could use a macro.

Hi Charles, it’s what I expected - Autocorrect effectively just doing a cut & paste.
I was hoping I could just roll out a MSO2057.acl file to colleagues to speed things up a bit over and above all the cut & paste currently being used. I didn’t really want to go down the VBA route using lookup from a separate document, it all starts getting a bit complicated when working in our team. Thanks anyway |

you are welcome. IMO, a macro solution would not be a great help, anyway.
To roll out AutoCorrect, use one of the utilities rather than copying the .acl ile.
