Opening Blank Doc while Off-Line
In order to open a Blank Doc in Word I need to be On-Line. Often I have to work Off-Line and the Blank Doc is not available.
I can open Word Docs saved on my PC when Off-Line. Solution for me - When On-Line I open a Blank Doc and save it as the "Blank Doc" to My PC in the "Custom Office Templates" file that was created by the Office Install. Off-Line I open this "Blank Doc" and then begin working on a New File - Save as - "New Name" Doc in my Documents File - specific area that I will choose. I HATE the Dominant ONE CLOUD forced usage by Windows 10. STUPID! ANY OTHER SOLUTIONS to this are welcome. |

Change the default user templates and document locations to the local hard drive.
Word File > Options > Save and check the box to Save to Computer by default. Ensure both locations are added to your trusted locations. You might find Select Document Template useful.
