Default Form Fields & Bar Codes

Can bar coding work in form fields, so I don't have to re-write everything over and over again in for labels in each cell?

Word 2010 doesn't support the DISPLAYBARCODE field that was introduced in Word 2013. So, unless you're doing something that generates a barcode as simple as a 3 of 9 barcode - for which you only need a suitable font - the answer is probably no.

As you have not explained what it is that you are trying to do, it is difficult to advise. If you are talking about legacy form fields, the answer is that you could apply a barcode font to the field.
However if you have Word 2013 or later you might find https://www.gmayor.com/insert_barcode_addin.htm useful, or if you have Word 2010 as suggested by your message. then see https://www.gmayor.com/bar_coded_labels.htm
Bar codes can be inserted into rich text content controls.

I have since updated my bar code add-in to include a replace function which may be useful in the context of this thread - https://www.gmayor.com/insert_barcode_addin.htm
