Default Word 2019 'Web Layout' Margins issue

I have upgraded from word 2010 to Word 2019

My framespage, which is my personal Life-Control hub, is always used in 'Web View' which has always been the best view for this as there are no margins, page breaks etc as each column can be very long.

Suddenly, in Word 2019, every frames column has unwanted margins surrounding each frame-column that were never an issue before word 2019.

As shown in the attached image, the rulers show a grey area on the left and right of each frame column, which is the issue.

Moving the ruler sliders at those grey areas make no difference.

The problem, how can I make these grey areas on the rulers 'go away' so my text can occupy the full column width as it has always done in previous word editions?
