Default Keep formatting when copying a text box between document.

I am updating a manual for the current year using last year's manual as a source.

The new manual is being done using Word 2007.
The previous manual was done using Word 2003.

Both manuals make extensive use of text boxes.

When I paste a text box into the new manual the formatting is changed.

I want to copy a whole text box from the old manual and paste it in the new manual and have the text box retain the formatting used in the old manual.

Any ideas or references are appreciated.
