Default Relative path for hyperlinks

I read through the relative hyperlinks sticky, but didn't quite understand it... I have training folder that I maintain on the company network which synchronizes with others' computers. There are some documents that contain hyperlinks that are broken when the files are synchronized with the other computers. I want to make the hyperlinks relative but don't understand how to do so.

Example:
Document containing hyperlinks is in this folder:
C:\Users\bill-\Documents\04_Femto Training\06_Training\_Training Documents\06_Z8 Technical Basic

Hyperlink goes to:
C:\Users\bill-\Documents\04_Femto Training\06_Training\_Training Documents\_Instructor Supplementary Material\Technical\Introduction to Ziemer Technology V_2.0.pptx

How is this done...? Thanks in avance.
