Underling selected texts

In my word document, I wanted to under line selected texts in a line.

For example in a poetry some words are to be underlined. In the same line there are spaces and a word is right alaingned.

How to underline few words at the beginning and the last word.



When I tried this the entire line is underlined

Beautiful is we live in (to be underlined) (space). If you (to be underlined)
