How are you opening the new document?
Right-Click on your desktop > New Word document? That uses the Word defaults, not your normal template, for the new document. Instead, start Word and press Ctrl+N. |

Thanks for your quick reply Charles. When I open word, a screen comes up in which I have to choose what kind of document I want to open, and I have to choose "blank document" (or another document option) to move on.
Is there a way to bypass this screen so I can click "Ctrl-N" instead? |

If you bypass the Start screen, you will have a new document based on your normal template. If you click on blank document, you will get a new document based on your normal template. |
