Default footnotes management

HELLO

suppose we have a main text with about 14000 footnotes. for some reasons we have to change some of these footnotes for some times. of course words that have footnote are fix. for example 5th word has a footnote. but the place of this word in the page and among the pages maybe change.

if we can use the way such as mailing ...directory, or quick part ....field...styleref, that word read our data from another file (for example an excel file with one column from 1-14000) for fixed footnotes, it will be very useful.
is it possible?
of course maybe with vb programming it can be done.

in any case I would appreciate if you would accompany me to solve this problem.

Thanks a lot

m.raja

Hi,

Thank you for posting. Unfortunately, there appear to be two language barriers. The first is that English is apparently not your first language, and the second is one of Word terms or jargon. Your English ability far exceeds my ability in any language other than English.

Word handles moving or changing footnotes without any third-party or other method. I've never dealt with 14,000 footnotes.

5th word has a footnote and needs to move. Select the word, with the footnote marker, cut and paste. Both the word and the footnote move.

As Charles said, if you have been using Word's built-in footnote facility, the footnote references will move with the text.

If you have been doing something else, you may upload an example document for us to look at.
