Talking Make equation “Snippets” in Microsoft Office Word

I would like to know whether it is possible to make some personal macros or snippets to help me faster type equations in MS Word, for example instead of selecting a Sum notation, I just type and it transforms into the equivalent notation, just like when we type e^x it transform it to the exponential notation.
