Default New to Word 2010 and I need to tweak it for printing

In the past, I've had my printer (Canon PIXMA640) setup to print booklet & duplex to print books. Using it this way, the printer adds it's own margins and reduces the amount of text I can fit on a page.

Maybe it's new to Word 2010 or I didn't see it before, but there's an option in Page Setup to use book fold. This gives me more control over the whole page and pretty much allows me to print edge-to-edge in booklet & duplex.

Here's my problem: The reverse side of the printout is upside down. In the Word print settings there is an option to Print on Both Sides but the only option is to flip pages on the long edge. Flip pages on the short edge is not available and this is setting I need to use.

I've printed may books in the past, so I know the printer will flip pages the right way. So, how do I setup Word 2010 to duplex correctly?

It never fails, only after you ask the question do you figure it out yourself...like washing your car will make it rain. My problem isn't solved, but I got closer to what I need.

There is a printer setting for staple side, long edge or short edge. Fiddling with that enables the option in Word 2110 to flip pages on the short edge. But, and there always is one, this requires me to manually duplex. So, I'm trading automatic duplexing for more print area on the page. It's worth it, but if there's any way to have both, I'd like to know how.
