Default How to change default bullets settings in Word 2016?

Is there a way to change the default "Bullets" settings on the Home tab of Word 2016? Ideally, I would like to override those settings with Word styles that I have created e.g. Table List Bullet, Table List Bullet 2, etc. If that is not an option, I would like to disable that function on the Home tab.

See How to control bullets in Ribbon Versions of Word by Shauna Kelly

That is the easy part. Disabling the ribbon buttons is harder.
For yourself or for your templates/documents or for your office in general?

For yourself using the Word interface, you are pretty much limited to removing that entire group from the Ribbon.

Not using the Word Interface through XML is doable, but not a beginner's project.
Using those methods, you can make changes that can only be in certain documents/templates, changes that are in yourr own system only, or global changes for an office or business. Look forward to a major investment of time, though unless you are already a programmer.

Thank you, Charles. To answer your question, I need to do this for the entire office, but only on certain documents. I'll see what I can figure out from those resources.

Here is another that gives an example of changing things on a built-in ribbon tab. It is covered in the first link under "Baby Steps;" Greg wrote both. It may be an easier read.

The basic idea if you want it to apply only to certain documents is to make the modifications in the document template.

The basic examples do not require any macros. You get into macros when you start using controls that are not already a built-in Control. Note that generally you want any macros used by your Ribbon modification to be in the same template as the modifications. If there is a chance that the document will not be "attached" to that template, you would want your macros in a separate global template that would be loaded and available to your document.
