Default Can I copy the Headers and Footers from one document to another?

Hi.
I translated an editable document. But header and footer information is lost and I need to have them on the translated document, too. Obviously headers need to appear in translated form. I use 365, but have very little experience with Office.
So can I just copy all headers and footers and somehow paste them in the translated version? I don't have a lot of time, what is a quick way to have translated headers and footers appear?

Thanks

Headers and footers are a property of a section (defined in Word by the presence of a Section Break). The header and footer for each section resides in the section break at end of that section. The final paragraph mark holds the header/footers for the last section of the document.

So you can copy header/footers by copying section breaks.

I am sorry but I ain't getting through. I have the pages in the navigation pane (in the translated document) exactly how I want them numbered in the footer. Is there any way I can apply that numbering directly to the footer?

Yes, you can copy header & footers from one document to another, just like you can copy body content. To do that, you can:
• open the header/footer in the source document, then select & copy its contents;
• open the header/footer in the target document, then paste the copied content.
Headers must be copied & pasted separately from footers.

Note: Every Section in a Word document can display three different headers & footers - first page, even page, and primary. And a document can have multiple Sections. Where a document has multiple Sections, the simplest way of replicating the headers and footers for all except the last Section is to copy/paste the actual Section breaks.

For that numbering (the numbering showing up for headings in the navigation pane?) take a look at the StyleRef Field.
