Default How to prevent "Calibri Light" as default auto-fill font?

This applies throughout the whole of MS Office 2016.

When typing "CA".. in the font field, it will always auto-complete as Calibri Light. I want it to always show as Calibri.

Any idea how?

Uninstall the Calibri Light font from your machine.

It's a work computer and I am unable to uninstall without admin privileges.

Would it help to use a style instead of manually selecting a font?

The autocomplete function is not going to be controllable and in any case is the least clever way of getting your font applied to text.

Better ways might be:
Create styles and apply those instead
Choose a Document Theme which lists Calibri for headings and body text
Do a Ctrl-A and apply the font once instead of lots of times
Run a macro to update the font properties of all styles

is it possible to assign a easier keyboard shortcut for applying Styles? note that my work device does not allow macros/new software .

Probably not the only option, but take a look at Ctrl + Shift + s

Unformatted AutoCorrect entries would adjust to the font at the insertion point. Either the font hasn't been properly changed or the AutoCorrect entry has been created with formatting.
