A5 paper missing
I am using Office 2010 and I wish to print to A5 paper but only A3, A4 and A6 are available.
How can I have an A5 option? This choice should be offered by Word, it should not be necessary for me to enter it as a custom size. Is MS not aware that us Europeans and many others use something other than "Letter" size. |

Is the A5 option not available in the Page Setup menu? (Page Setup/Paper/Paper Size (scroll down to A5)?
I do not have Word 2010 but I do have Word 2007 and Word 2013 and both have that option from the Page Setup menu. |

The paper sizes available in Word are taken from the available sizes in the printer driver.
If you have had A5 available in the past, check that the correct printer is selected and is being used. My default printer is an Epson capable of A3+ sizes, if I select another printer, a HP Laserjet, A3 or A3+ is not shown as that printer can’t physically print to that size. If I choose say Send to Onenote 2010 or 2016 as the printer, A5 isn’t shown as it’s not available. Sometimes the wrong printer is selected, often accidentally, so have a look to see what is being used at the time of an A5 no show. |

Thanks JimP and Moonshine.
I am using Windows 10 Pro, Office 2010 and an Epson XP-630 printer. In Word I have scrolled all the way down the list of paper sizes and only A3, A4 and A6 are available - not A5 I was unaware that the page sizes are controlled by the printer driver. The Control Panel and other third party and Epson software tell me that the printer driver is up to date. The paper tray holder of the XP-630 printer has markings on it for A5 paper so I will have to check further into the printer drivere=. I will remove the driver and then reload it to see it things improve. Once again many thanks for pointing mr in the right direction. |

If you have more than one printer installed, do you have the correct printer set as default?

Now that's the strange point.
I only have one printer, the XP-630 but when I go to ControlPanel/Device&Printers the printer appears twice. Once as "EPSON61E3E9 (XP-630 Series)" and then again as "EPSON XP-630 Series (Network)". Initially I had the former selected as default and with this setting there was no A5 paper listed in Word. I then changed the default to the latter and to my surprise the printer works OK (simple test) AND the A5 paper is now included in the lists of paper in Word. Beats me but I am now happy that I now have my A5 paper. Once again thanks thanks to both of you. |
