The paragraph break could be a consequence of having some hidden content in the header. Without seeing a relevant portion of the actual document, it's impossible to know for sure. Can you attach a document to a post with some representative content (delete anything sensitive)? You do this via the paperclip symbol on the 'Go Advanced' tab at the bottom of this screen.
