Default Add citations in numbers ( [1], [2], ...) in text

Hi all,

I am currently writing my semester project in Microsoft Word 2013. The professor wants me to add the sources of information like this:
Inside the main text, I will assign numbers in this format: [number] (ex [1]) and in the end of the project I will add a page "Bibliography" and there will be all the sources in chicago format, each source in a seperate line, with the line starting with the corresponding number (ex. [1] Mark Russinovich, Sysinternals. Sysinternals. 1999-2006. http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/freeware/).

Now I know that I can go to references -> Manage sources and add my source. I also know that I can go to Bibliography in order to insert a full list of my sources in a new page. The problem is that I will have to add the numbers my self. As there will be many sources I was wondering if I am missing something and if there is any easier way to achieve what I want. Thanks in advance for all the help

Word doesn't have a referencing format that conforms to those requirements; it's implementation of Chicago is particularly poor. You could, however, insert all your references and the bibliography using the ISO 690 or Vancouver format and, when your editing is done, convert the bibliography to static text, then change the referencing to the IEEE 2006 format. The ISO 690 & Vancouver bibliography formats are closer to your required bibliography format than any of the others, though some editing will still be required.
