Modify what Word Count takes into consideration
Hello y'all,
Been unable to find info on how to modify what Word Count takes into consideration when analyzing a document. Needing it to count the words that are not
The goal is to have the NumWords field display only the words that form part of my article and to exclude words that are part of my headings, table of contents, table of figures, citations, references, etc. Is anyone willing and able to provide information to help me achieve this goal? |

The NUMWORDS field takes no range/bookmark or Style arguments. You could use a formula field to deduct the word counts for your 'exclusion' content, but you'd still need to do a word count of all of those ranges. That becomes quite involved when, as your post suggests, you only want to exclude parts of your references, headings, & citations.
