Default Printing labels problems in W7

Hi all,
I'm trying to print labels in W.7 using the mail merge tab.
I'm not trying to do a mail merge , all I want to do is print text onto a sticky label

My problem is that when I insert the text for the label the bottom line is always out of line to the left . It does not matter if the text is copied and pasted into the label text box or entered direct the bottom line is always 5/6 mm to the left. If there is only 2/3/4 or 5 lines its always the last line which is out .

If I enter the text then press the new document it then shows in the new document as the last line still to the left.

Its a recent problem as I have been printing labels this way before with no problem and I don't think anything has changed

Its a cannon printer

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Eckky

Are you sure your document is set for the correct stationery size and that you haven't set Word to 'Scale content for A4 or 8.5 x 11in" paper sizes'?

Hi Macropod,

Thanks for replying,

I've checked the settings and they are A4 and not ticked for scaling ( in the print settings in page setup )

Hi All,

I've found a way that prints properly and works properly, maybe some one can tell me how it works ?
First I type the text into word , select the text plus the start of the blank line below the last line of text and paste that into the label box.

It works correctly but why ? Any ideas ?

Why?

Because there is formatting including an initial indent in the material you copied. That formatting is in the paragraph mark at the end. If you copy the paragraph mark, you copy the formatting.
