After creating a Table of Contents using the automated tool, how to manually add further lines to it

All the Hindi and English lines have to appear on separate lines in their respective chapters though, and for that there will always have to be a manual line break (or else a carriage return, which creates a problem in the TOC).

It is only in the TOC that I want short headings to appear together on the same line. Not at the beginning of the chapters.

Is there a way for me to manage this?
