Default How can I get user's text-input to appear in the footer?

Hello there,

I am working on a contract sample. Users will give each contract a number in the third line of the text. This contract number shall appear in the footer automatically.
I guess that should work with form fields? Appreciate low-level explanation.
Thank you,Oliver
