Default Change in page number format

I have a 72 page document and the page number format changed in one section - from left justified to centered and without the word "Page". Also, there appears to be a broken horizontal line on the left side below the centered page number. How do I get the page numbering format to be the same as the previous section?

Thanks,
Mike

Ask yourself why the section break is there at all? If you delete the section break between section 12 and 13 then the page setups and header/footers from Section 13 will flow back into Section 12. You can then add a new section break again if you really need it and the header/footers should be better.

Alternately, you could select the Link to Previous to remove that footer and replace it with the same footer as the preceding section.

Thanks. I had tried deleting the section break before Section 12, and that brought the centered page numbers into Section 11. Just now I tried deleting the section break AFTER Section 12, and that solved the problem.

A section break stores the formatting of the section that precedes the break. For "everything" about this, see https://wordmvp.com/FAQs/Formatting/...thSections.htm.
