filename field not displaying correct filename when that name starts with #
I display the filename of my files in the footer as a reference using the filename field. However, I have some files with names beginning with "#" e.g. "#000046" and unfortunately these display as "^N000046". How can I get the filename field to display the correct characters? Thank you for your assistance. Peter Last edited by Charles Kenyon; 07-06-2018 at 03:26 AM. Reason: Change title to give more accurate information about problem. |

Which is your operating system? Your profile says Windows 10.
In Windows 10, it works fine on my computer. I have filename extensions displayed as well. I do not know that this makes a difference. 00 deleteme 1.png
Which font are you using? What happens if you start Word in safe mode? Does the same thing happen? Open Office apps in safe mode on a Windows PC - Microsoft Office |
