Default filename field not displaying correct filename when that name starts with #

I display the filename of my files in the footer as a reference using the filename field. However, I have some files with names beginning with "#" e.g. "#000046" and unfortunately these display as "^N000046". How can I get the filename field to display the correct characters?

Thank you for your assistance.

Peter

Which is your operating system? Your profile says Windows 10.

In Windows 10, it works fine on my computer. I have filename extensions displayed as well. I do not know that this makes a difference.
