Wildcard Problem with Emailadresses
Hi Guys.
I've looked around quite a bit, but somehow nothing really worked they way I need it. I have a huge list of email adresses. And I need to replace everything in front of the @ sign with an * So that we can put that into our spamlist and every possible email adress is blocked from that host. What I need is a code for the Search and Replace thing. I cant to that by hand, those are over 9000 adresses.. I hope you guys can help me out. Thanks in advance |

I find the word find & replace difficult to use. Would you consider using Excel rather?
Paste/ import all email addresses into an excel spreadsheet. Select the entire column which contains the email addresses. Go to the 'data' tab in the ribbon and press on 'text to columns' Leave on 'delimited' option and press next. Under 'delimiters' choose other and type @ into the box. press next, leave on 'general' format, and press finished. Now you should have all the domains separate from the user names. HTH Sixhobbts |
