In Word 10 (and previous versions), there is a vertical command bar on the left (mine was) where you had the select arrow, bold, center align, etc. (Not the Quick Access toolbar that I can customize.) I opened a resume template online and that command bar disappeared. Any help getting it back is greatly appreciated. I got spoiled by it! Thanks!

I assume you are talking about the Tab Alignment settings and your Ruler isn't showing. Try the View tab and put a tick in the Ruler option.
