how to add tooltips (mouse-over)
Passing on a question from a colleague … he's started including tooltips in his Excel spreadsheets, so he can display extra info/reminders and so on without using "always on" Comments. He's asked me whether there's any equivalent mechanism in Word 2010; I have no idea!

In word you can hyperlink a range to itself, then add the tip as the hyperlink hover text. The downside is that you'll also see the 'Click to follow link' prompt in the tip.
