Default Unusual Vertical Lines in Footnotes.

Hi,

I was fiddling around with the grid in my document, and noticed after setting everything back to how it was (I was just demonstrating for a colleague, and stupidly used my actual doc rather than a dummy, because I am, in fact, a dummy), I noticed a series of vertical lines in the footnotes. I cannot highlight them, I cannot select them, and I have no idea what I did to get them there.

Anybody know what they are, and how I can remove these pesky little things?

Thanks,
Flocc.

Default NB

Dealt with. Re formatted, and it all went away. Off and on again works!
