Hi!
I'm wondering if it is possible to make a Word template that has changeable footer and/or header. For example, if a user want to use Footer B (out of A, B and C). Is it possible to integrate these three footer alternatives in one single document. Is this possible? |

It is very easy to build a template (not document) that has header and footer building blocks built-in.
Automated Boilerplate Using Microsoft Word (AutoText, AutoCorrect, Building Blocks, and more) These cannot be stored in documents. As it is, each section of a document has three headers and three footers. Header/Footer Settings Recap |

I'm sorry. I did not notice you are on the Mac which does not use Building Blocks AFAIK.
In that case, you could save these as AutoText (still in a template). The remarks about each section having three headers and three footers, though, applies to the Mac as well as Windows versions. |

Yes, it is possible. The easiest way to store them is to save a continuous section break as an autotext entry. That section break will contain the headers/footers and page setup of the section that precedes the section break.
You could choose to insert that section break at the back of the document to effectively import the headers and footers into the document (assuming there are no section breaks already in the doc) Any other methods would require many more steps and probably macros to implement.
