Cannot remove watermark after section break
We have procedures that change page orientation a few times in a document and the content layout is controlled through a section break. Currently we have a document where we are unable to remove a watermark in the third (last) section of the document that is a portrait orientation. The content in this section is a series of two column tables. Any ideas on why this is happening?

It all depends on how the watermark was created.
Watermarks, by their nature are faded image files that are inserted in the Header area (even though displaying in the body of a document). The Watermark from the Design > Watermarks gallery is especially easy to use but is tricky. I've discussed troubleshooting steps in Watermarks in Ribbon Versions of Word. I hope it helps. |

Thank you
Thank you Charles. We just recently discovered an image at the end of the document that showed with handles when the footer was opened. Once it was selected and deleted, the watermark was removed from the entire section. Since we set this through the Watermark process in Word, we're not sure why this was set as a separate image though.
