Template header locked but loose functionality of Mailings
Hi, we have created a word template for our company letterhead. We have restricted the editing for it (added section break).
When we set the "protection" password. You cannot type anything in section 2 (outside the header). We loose functionality of the Mailing tab (typically a user can type in an address, highlight, choose envelope and print an envelope with the highlighted address). Thanks for any suggestions and guidance. Last edited by Ms. G; 06-15-2018 at 11:01 AM. Reason: Clarity |

You are protecting this by restricting editing to filling in forms? This restricts lots of options and Word features.
Are users able to run macros? See https://wordmvp.com/FAQs/Customizati...PlusHeader.htm |

If you're applying 'filling in forms' protection, you need to leave unprotected whatever Sections you want the users to be able to edit freely. You might do better to use 'Read Only' protection with the appropriate areas marked as exceptions.
