Restart numbering list - i'm getting nuts...

Hi,



Running word 2007.
What I need is something like

1. My Lists
1.1 Sub
This is my list:

1. John
2. Jack
3. Mike

1.2 Second sub
This is another list:

1. Marie
2. Sophia
3. Julia

Imagine, I have a 150 page document with all kinds of lists like this. Every time, it starts to number:

4. Marie
5. Sophia
6. Julia

etc. until page 150:

3762. Paul
3763. William

I can manually set the list to 1 (did it twice, took me a day or so), but somehow it falls back and disregards the restart.

How should I take care of this?? In fact, I should tell the names-list-style that it has to restart after a 'Heading 2'.

Please help me, I'm about to get crazy on this.
