Word Print Layout goes crazy at zoom below 221%
I have a Microsoft Word 2016 problem with zoom in Print Layout (Read Mode, Web Layout, Draft are all fine.)
In Print Layout At 221% or larger the screen looks fine. At lower zoom (even 220%) the screen goes crazy and looks like jagged wavy lines. Interestingly, when I go into View/Zoom the preview box in the bottom right shows wavy lines at all zoom levels This happens with both existing Word documents, and new documents even when they are blank. Excel and PowerPoint are working like normal – no zoom problem. Anybody have any ideas? |

A long term solution may be to find an updated video driver.
However, as a quick workaround, see if disabling hardware graphics acceleration in Word makes a difference (File | Options | Advanced).

Thanks Stefan, however the problem went away as suddenly as it started. I didn't DO anything that I know of (not even a reboot), but now everything is fine. Sun Spots I guess

I'm glad things are now working. We will probably never know what the underlying cause may have been.
