text box lock anchor doesn't work
How do I keep my text box from moving? When I select text, sometimes the whole text box moves. Is lock anchor the correct way to secure it so that it doesn't move?
I'm using osx word 2016 |

Locking the anchor prevents the anchor itself from being moved with drag and drop. However, the text box may still move, depending on now it is positioned relative to the page or anchor paragraph.
Also, note that the text box will always be on the same page as its anchor. In other words, if the paragraph containing the anchor moves to the next page (as a result of editing), the text box will also move to that page.

Sorry, I don't have Word for Mac, so I can't be specific. In Word for Windows, however, the option to lock the anchor is in the Layout dialog box.
