Hi
I'm writing a lot of documents which actually require some repeated words. Specifically High High and Low Low Is there a way to make the spell checker in word 2007 ignore just these cases. I tried adding these phrases to the custom dictionary but it still flags them up as repeated words when I do the spell checking. There are a lot of instances of these words in my documents so this would be a great help. Cheers for looking. |

You can create a character style with the proofing language attribute of "do not check spelling or grammar" and apply that style to these duplicates. It is not automatic.
Otherwise, try using a non-breaking space between the words. (Ctrl+Shift+Spacebar) More on the use of a style: Mastering the Spelling Checker by Suzanne Barnhill, MVP |

Thanks for the advice Charles.
A none breaking space was the easiest solution for me :-) I did a find and replace on the whole document and included it and now everything works fine. |

Glad that it helped.
I do not know that this is documented anywhere. |
