Hello!
I have an Excel spreadsheet that does calculations and then spits out the values in a Word document (a more formal version of the calculation that was done in Excel). Basically, the process is initiated in Excel through the push of a button that calls the Word template to create a new document. After the document is created, a series of dialogues pop up to request extra information (project title, project number, author, etc) and after the document is populated with the values from the Excel spreadsheet. My issue is that when a new document is created, it lags before the first dialogue pops up (for 30 sec to a min sometimes). A few things to note: -Both the Word and Excel files are located on a network -The lag is experienced only with Word Documents that are macro enabled |
