Default Removing Tabs with proper indentation

Hello guys again

My next problem is (which might not actually be a problem) that I wrote my document without indentation. Now when was asked to introduce indents in my document, what I simply did was to introduce a tab at the start of every new paragraph. But I feel recently now that it might be the wrong way to do that.
Shall I remove all the tabs by backspacing or deleting them from every paragraph? and introduce indentation from Paragraph menu. OR leave it like that? What if any problems can arise later while formatting the paragaphs if I keep the tabs as they are?

regards
Irfan

  1. If you use tabs somewhere other than at the beginning of a paragraph, write back. Otherwise...
  2. Use the Replace feature to delete the tabs. Ctrl+H
    Find text: ^t
    Replace text: (nothing)
    Replace All
  3. Take a look at the Style of your text.
    Understanding Styles in Microsoft Word
  4. Modify the Paragraph Style to include the First-line Indent paragraph formatting that you want.
  5. If your style is the normal style, you may want to, instead create a new style with the paragraph indent based on normal and use that style for your text.
