Show/ hide three sections of a cover page based on the option selected in the drop down list
I know nothing about programming and I am struggling to be able to show/ hide three sections in my cover page depending upon the choice made in the drop down menu.
The document is a cover page with a dropdown list of 4 choices that describe the type of document. I want the entire sections 6,7 & 10 to populate only if "Process" is selected from the dropdown list. I have attached the picture for your reference. Please guide me step by step. Thanks a ton! |

Just one note. You are in the header of your document. That is not the place to put controls.

So could you please suggest step by step what needs to be done if I place the control list outside the header?

If someone else does not, I will. I have a day job, though.
In the meantime, look at the IF Field which is one way of having Word display something based on something else. It may be necessary to save the things you want displayed as AutoText so they do not exceed limits of the IF field. Automated Boilerplate Using Microsoft Word (AutoText, AutoCorrect, Building Blocks, and more) Another option would be, instead, using a UserForm. Create a Simple Userform |
