Default Calculations using values from date picker controls

Long story short, I'm relatively new to forms and programming in word and I want to create an auto updated field that shows a duration in months, which is the time between two dates selected with date picker controls.

Is this possible? And if so any pointers/guides on how to accomplish this?

Thanks a lot!
