Exclamation how to edit the same table from more than one doc file

I have 300 doc files , in each i have a similar sized table but have different information in it , however I need to fill one column with the same information for all tables in all my files , IS there a way to do it as fast as possible without opening each file and copy and paste the needed column ?? pelase help

Not really. Although you could use INCLUDETEXT fields to links the content of each cell in that column to the corresponding cells in a parent table in another document so that changes in the parent table will be reflected in all the child tables, that would still have to be set up one document at a time. Provided the files all have the same table and table structure, a macro could be used to automate the process of either simply updating the tables or creating the links.

If your documents and the tables are all very consistent then a macro could do this for you. The table would need to be identifiable in a consistent way and would likely need to have a the same number of rows to match the source you are copying from.
