I'm trying to figure out if I can use find/replace in a specific way to help me with something. I've looked up info on wildcards but I can't seem to find anything that would work in this instance. Any advice?

I want to find all instances of a word which does NOT follow another specific word. In this case I want to find all instances of the name of an organisation (CSN) where it is NOT followed by "the", so I can then add "the" to all instances. Can I use find/replace to do this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can do this in two steps without wildcards

1. replace 'CSN' with 'CSN the'
2. replace 'the the' with 'the'


If you want to use a wildcard search

replace '(CSN)(![t])(![h])(![e])( )' with '/1 the' you'll need to look up the exact wildcard syntax.
