This template was created with Word 2010 and updated in 2016.
It now opens with a reduced size of the document area and the header graphic as well as information on the first page going outside of the page margin on the right side into a larger space. This happens on the landscape formatted page also. When the document is printed it is not regular size but this reduced size. This is in a W7 Word 2010 test environment. This has not happened with any of the other templates created and updated under the same circumstances and loaded into the test environment.
Cannot find anything in support documentation about this but I am not sure what is happening so not sure I am searching using correct terminology. I tried going to View and selected Full Screen Reading, then under View Options selected Show One Page and that helped but the thing that really fixed this was on the Review tab selecting Final (not showing markup).
My end questions are:
- If you save it as a template with it set up as original showing markup then when the user opens it to use for a document, can they just go in and turn that off by selecting original or final (not showing markup)?
- If so, is this functionality any different between Word versions?
- Or is it better to turn that off in the original template to avoid confusion?
This is the only template that will be potentially using Change Tracking so am trying to decide whether to have that on from the get go so we don't have to try to get users to realize they might need this while building their documentation.
