Hi all. I have some white spaces in my documents converted from another software. Since I'm not sure what causes this issue (not tab, not space), I cannot really google any solution out. Could anybody provide some suggestions on eliminating out these white spaces at once and thus let all the paragraphs line up on the left please? Thank you~

Without seeing the ruler I can't say for sure but am guessing it is paragraph formatting of an indent.

Converted documents are often very screwy.

I have already finished further processing this document. But I have also checked the ruler (forgot to mention this in the original post), and the line with the red circle has the same alignment with the line above. If my description is not clear enough, I will post a picture later since this is actually a pretty common issue for me.

Without actually seeing the problem document, not just screenshots, it can be difficult for anyone to diagnose the issue. Can you attach a document to a post with some representative content (delete anything sensitive)? You do this via the paperclip symbol on the 'Go Advanced' tab at the bottom of this screen.

Here is an example: example.docx

On my system I see two box characters where what you describe as 'white space' occurs. If you select one of those characters, then press Ctrl-H, the Find/Replace dialogue should open with that as a 'Find' character. In my case, it appears as an arrow. Clearing the Replace character, if necessary, then choosing 'Replace All', will delete all those characters from your document.

This is amazing! Thank you! Is there a reason why MS word doesn't show those characters? Is that because those characters are not supported by the font I'm using?

As I said:
I don't know why you can't see them and, since you haven't included any details about your operating system & Word version in your profile, that only adds to the difficulty.
